Where did you come from and where are you headed?

I come from eastern Bohemia, I grew up in the town of Červený Kostelec, which is almost in the Podkrkonoší region. In 1995, I joined the Jesuit order. After studying philosophy and theology in Krakow, Rome, Frankfurt, and Prague, I settled in the Czech capital for a few years as a student chaplain. I then worked in the same field in Olomouc, and now the wind has blown me to Brno. I find spiritual exercises very fulfilling, and in my free time I enjoy art—within my means, I like to go to cultural events and sometimes do a little creating myself…

How did you find your way to VKH?

I first came to VKH in 2010 when I returned from my studies in Germany.

Describe yourself in three words using the letters VKH.

„All-rounder,“ „heretic,“ and „deep thinker“ 🙂

What is your favorite church or pilgrimage site?

I sincerely love many beautiful sacred monuments that are a tribute to human creativity, places of noble forms and spiritual energy. I always like to stop there, seek contemplation, and perceive the Creator. Nevertheless, nature is my favorite cathedral.
